Welcome to PFresh Horticulture

Nestled in the Hartbeespoort Valley, is the little town of Skeerpoort, in the North West province 25km outside of the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg, South Africa. An agriculturually rich farm land with fertile soils is the home to our horticultural seedling nursery, production fields and pack house setup.

Where are we from:

In 1975 the founding members produced a variety of crops in Southern Zimbabwe such as tomatoes, cabbages and lettuce for the local markets. Later in 1990 there was a diversification into horticultural flowers and roses in particular. From half a hectare over 10 years it developed into an huge rose export prodcution to Holland and Europe. During 2002 the members relocated south to the beautiful and tranquil Magaliesburg and more specifically Skeerpoort in the Hartbeespoort area.

We have been in production in Skeerpoort since 2005.

Environmental policy:

We are not organic and don’t claim to be but you can be assured our food is safe and has been produced with minimal, if any chemical usage, and in a very sustainable way. We try our very best to minimise and reduce our water useage such as the use of drip irrigation.

Our chemical usage policy is quite firm as we produce under the WQA Standard (Woolworths Quality Assurance Standard) as well as Farming for the Future. This means we use IPM (Integrated Pest Management) where consultants monitor all crops and advise us on what needs to be taken care of.

Who do we supply:

We have been a proud supporter and producer two of the three main retailers, Pretoria Fresh Market, Johannesburg Fresh market, Local and Regional Restaurants, European export markets.

We are always looking for new markets and are more than happy to undertake new growing programs.

PFresh has three production units or farms in two different provinces to cover a large calendar growing season.
